Granted each student has their own experience but for me as a student I will tell you this school is so horrible it doesn't deserve any stars. The staff does not care about there student's at all (with exception of 3 teachers). Classrooms are overcrowded, there are a lot of fights, and specific staff members (will not name names) treat student's parents with little to no respect. I can tell you personally, Arbor View is one of the worst schools in Nevada. I honestly pray for the day I get to leave this school, waking up just to even go is in itself a torturous task. And though I may be a student and still young to all those reading this, I am truly not exaggerating. Please understand that if you truly want you're children to be happy with their education Arbor View is not the school to go to. The deans do more damage than good when it comes to bullying, teachers bully student's, there is A LOT of favoritism, and no room for a student to freely express any of there concerns, even with parent intervention the school does not listen!!!! I am truly unhappy attending arbor view.

The school here is really nice. It's clean, the staff is qualified, and it provides a good variety for the high school experience. The AP program here is amazing (along with the AP teachers), just make sure you start early. I only got to take 7 AP classes when I should have taken 12ish but ran out of space for those classes at the end. The main issue besides the chaotic parking lot is whoever was supposed to send my transcript to my college didn't, which costed me about $11,200 to $19,000 in scholarships. I guess if you want something done right, do it yourself.

My experience was awesome. The teachers and staff are so nice. They help you when you need it. The school is a friendly environment. And you will have the best 4 years of your life there even though I'm only a senior. And the football games are awesome.

My son was harassed and bullied by staff and students at this school. My son ran track, and played football since the age 11. His aspirations were to play college then NFL. He quit football 11th grade because the coaches at AV showed favoritism and the team players were giving him a hard time simply because he was new to the team and he was showing them all up. Only one coach gave him a chance to start coach Brown and he said he won't forget it. In his 12th grade year he was being harassed and bullied. I taught my son to defend himself, but apparently those rights end when you step onto school property. He never had a fight, but was hit and then kicked out for standing up to his bullies within one week. My son had no past record, model student, decent grades and on his way to graduation. The school Asst. Principal was of no help. She wanted to know why he had a nickname? Insinuating that he was "gang" affilliated and tried her best to link him to neighborhood drama that was going on in the school. The principal wouldn't meet with me either. I was extremely angry with them all for the way they handled my son. At the end of the day, we were dealing with discrimination and bigotry. They didn't care about my son because he is black. They made no efforts to handle the situation. They blamed him and tried to send him to a behavior school. The principal said, "he wanted to teach him a lesson." I refused to let him go there and withdrew him from CCSD. My son went into a deep drepression that took two years for him to overcome. As a mother it was hard to watch. I filed a discrimination complaint with Dept. Of Education, Civil Rights in 2014. I'm still waiting for the outcome of tge investigation. STOP SENDING OUR KIDS TO BEHAVIOR SCHOOLS for minor, trivial things. I heard the deans I named are gone and they now have a black dean. Those Deans were the worse. They had stereotyped views of black youth that got in the way of them doing their jobs correctly or even caring for my son. My son did not graduate with his class, he fought depression, but went on to get his GED and is now at CSN working toward becoming a Firefighter. Shame on AV for trying to shatter my child's hopes and dreams. Shame on them for not caring more. I was then, and still am, very proud of my son for how he has come back after that horrible time at AV. He is stronger, wiser and better for it. I hope somethings changed and black kids are being treated fairly. Since then, they've closed several behavioral schools and over 2000 less kids have been sent. Here's my message: STOP running your schools like prisons and STOP discriminating against our kids.

This school has lied to us multiple times about what we are able to do. We were told that I would be able to transfer for another school without my guardian's signature since I am 18, however the day I was supposed to do that they told me that I couldnt. Also I was told that in order to make up for the algebra 2 course I failed I would be able to take a personal finance course, but now second semester of senior year they told me that it won't work and I can't re-take it in school because it was a 1st semester class, so I have to take it online because they lied to me. This school has don't nothing but lie and be unprofessional. I called the assistant principal and she hung up on me because I called her out on it in a professional way, and she hung up on me. This school is completely unprofessional.
