We scheduled a free estimate online with Renee and he never showed up we emailed him and he never responded. When I called the company they said he was out and wanted to charge me for the free estimate for him to come and see our tree and advise us on what to do. The response is not the truth how could we request a service if we had no idea of what needed to be done. Be very careful I would strongly avoid read other reviews. We did find a couple of other very professional and honest companies who came and were willing to give us their opinion as to what needed to be done and costs for those services.

To say that these guys are professional is an understatement! They are true masters of their trade!!! When Rene stopped by the first time - he didn't say much, just gave me the price and left. I knew right there that I was dealing with a person, who knew exactly what he was doing. Surely enough, on May 3 - they arrived as scheduled at 7 AM sharp, tried to be quiet, not to wake the neighborhood needlessly, while setting everything up. They masterfully removed a large pine tree on my backhill. And the final "blow" was literally when they used the blower to clean up my street, way outside of their immediate place of operation. WOW! I'm not bribed or otherwise coerced into writing this review and I sincerely wish AC Horticultural Management, Inc. with it's WONDERFUL employees and Mr. Rene Castillo to continue the legacy of Rene's father, who started the company and to deliver this incredible value and goodness to the community for many more generations of the honorable Castillo Family!!!

150% impressed with the work done!
This is the second year that I contacted Renee for Palm trimming in my backyard.
His team arrived exactly at our scheduled time and diligently and professionally completed the entire project in under one hour. I have 4 queen mature queen palms and 5 pigmy palms. Each were expertly trimmed with old heavy fruit stalks removed! All was cut down, hauled to my front yard, everything chipped at the street, and my yard completely cleaned up. The entire crew was communicative, kind and worked as a fluid motion.
I highly recommend contacting Renee at AC Horticulture for any of your tree trimming needs!

If you don't care about damage to your property, hire them. If you do, you're better off looking somewhere else.

We hired Rene and his team to treat our oak from a beetle infestation and trim the oak and a small olive tree. When they arrived we asked them to take care of our brand new gate when they take the branches out. We even offered to cover it, but they declined reassuring us that they're professional and they'll take care of it. After they left, we checked the gate and lo and behold there were tons of scratches all over it. Although we have video (!!) from the security camera clearly showing his crew dragging the branches over the gate and even slamming them into the gate, Rene refused to admit that his crew did the damage on the pretense that his crew denied it because the branches were wrapped with a tarp. Yes, the branches were indeed wrapped with a tarp, but the ends were still sticking out of the tarp and dragging over our brand new gate. When confronted again with all our video evidence and a close up picture that clearly shows FRESH scratches, he claimed the crew said the scratches were already there. After which he completely refused to respond to any of our follow-up calls or emails.

We have no complains about the actual tree service performed, but I am appalled that a company refuses to accept liability for damage they cause to personal property, despite asking for more than $1000 to treat and trim 2 trees. I won't post the video, but here's a picture of how our brand new gate looked after they left.

Contacted AC Horticultural for an estimate on removing a large pine tree. Rene stopped by and gave us a competitive price. Rene and his crews showed up two days later and did a fantastic job. The crew was efficient and made sure to work carefully without damaging the rest of the landscape. I would highly recommend this company for any tree removal you may need.

Rene and his team arrived on time and did great work. We have used other services in the past, but AC Horticultural knows what they are doing. The trees look great and they told us which trees to do now and the ones to wait until fall for. The job was complete and the clean-up was even better.

Incredible job. My wife did the hard part of setting up price quotes. She let me know that from the 5 quotes, AC Horticultural was one of the two fairly priced in her opinion. The price difference between AC Horticultural and the other company was fairly close so we went with AC Horticultural because my wife said Rene the person who quoted her was more professional and knowledgeable. They did not disappoint. On time, efficient, and extremely detailed cleanup after the work was done. This is why my wife typically handles appointments like this, she has a good sense for reading people and getting a feel for them. A+ for AC Horticultural and my wife of course.
