We bought this house 23 years ago with a small tree. It grew with our family and we loved the yearly flowers. The shade it provided was amazing. Out of the blue, with no warning at all, a HUGE branch fell. Thankfully, God was watching out and it didn’t cause damage to our home, cars, or my husband who was standing there just a minute before.

We got 3 quotes. The price was around the same but this company seemed the most knowledgeable. Everyone agreed the tree had to come out. Jonathan actually showed compassion since we were obviously sad that our tree had to be removed.

The company came out very quickly to begin the job and got SO MUCH done in one day. They found some random rebar in the boards surrounding the tree but they took their time & removed them properly. They didn’t ask for more money or tell us it was our problem & that they’d come back when we’d resolved it.

Jonathan is not one for a texting conversation but if you text him, he’ll get back to you super quickly. He is very nice and the workers are very hardworking and respectful.

We will refer this company to our friends. When we are ready for a new tree, we’ll be calling Alamo City Arbor Care to help us choose the right one & plant it for us.

After the freeze this past week, I called John and he came same day to get an initial assessment of the damage after all the falling limbs and broken branches. They came out the next day after everything thawed and repaired all broken limbs and cleaned up everything and properly maintenances to remaining trees. The arm was immaculate after they finished. I will hire them every-time and recommend them to anyone and everyone.

John and his team came and cut down 7 trees in my backyard and ground down all the stumps. They were quick and efficient - in and out in less than a day! They left me with no mess and a beautiful blank slate for my yard which I am happy about. Not to mention my house is so much brighter. My fiance and I are new to Texas and realized the tree in our back yard was a dead Live Oak. 🙁 with a big move and a new home, John and his crew were able to eliminate one more thing off of our list. Great price and amazing service. He was kind enough to come after a long day, and by morning the crew was at work. Everything happend as explained and was completed the same day. Jon's team did an outstanding job removing a nuisance Mulberry tree from the side of my house and took great care ensuring the fence was not destroyed while grinding the stump. Additionally, they did a great job planting a cedar elm in our front yard...and at a price that could not be beat!

We got estimates from three different sources and Alamo City Arbor Care beat all of them...by a lot...and Jon is a certified arborist to boot, not just a guy with a chainsaw and a truck!

I greatly appreciate the professionalism Alamo City Arbor Care displayed and won't think about calling anyone else next time we need tree services!

Can't say enough great things about Alamo City Arbor Care. Jon Chalker, the owner, is a great guy, very knowledgeable about trees, honest, fair and quite the perfectionist. He has all the best equipment and knows how to operate it. I have no idea how the competitors were going to safely remove my huge Red Oak without a crane... one of the pieces of equipment that Alamo City has that many others don't. Alamo City's stump grinder is also much better than everyone else's... grinds much deeper. Some competitors were going to grind 6-8 or 10-12 inches deep. Alamo City grinded to 25 inches. They did great work, almost surgical, as they removed huge branches with the crane in very close quarters between my house and my neighbors. They cleaned up... no mess at all. And to top it all off they had the best price. Nobody else was even close. Give Alamo City Arbor Care your tree business. You won't regret it.

Workers removed 37 year old Monterrey Oak that was beginning to split at main trunk and above. This tree was the largest Monterey oak they have removed; shaded most of our backyard. Removed it piece by piece. Cut firewood and large pieces to make furniture; and used grinder to grind 4’ diameter stump and roots, then spread the mulch around. These workers were very polite and accommodating as to our needs. It was heartbreaking to lose this tree. Awesome job! Thank you!

We just moved to Schertz and the day of the move a giant branch broke off and was looming over the roof. I called Alamo City Arbor Care and was assured that not only would it be taken care of but the rest of the trees on the property would be addressed making it safe for our five year old.
