My mother-in-law Sheila started out in Arbor Hills Independent living, then progressed to Arbor Oaks assisted living and Evergreen for memory care. Mary Gaudet and her staff made the transition easy and everyone seemed to know and love Sheila. The caring staff was always attentive to her needs and made her days happy and comfortable. As her dementia progressed, it was great to be able to keep her in familiar surroundings. Evergreen has a very small, family atmosphere which was important for someone with dementia. We checked out many facilities before we settled on Arbor Hills and Arbor Oaks and we were very happy with our decision. The care Sheila received was outstanding.

My mother has been in Arbor Oaks (Evergreen) for about a year and a half now. She is safe, comfortable, and happy. I am tremendously grateful for all the care she receives. I live overseas so it was crucial to find a place as good as this to care for my mother who has such severe dementia. Thank you for all you do Evergreen staff. ❤️

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Arbor Oaks at Lakeland Hills, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Mary Gaudet, in particular, stood out with his exceptional service and friendly demeanor. The staff was friendly and greeted everyone with a smile.

Both the independent and Assisted Living buildings were beautiful.

I highly recommend Arbor Oaks to anyone looking for a beautiful place to call home.

My siblings and I are extremely grateful for the care my parents received at Arbor Oaks. We were lost and didn’t know how to help our parents in their elder years.
Our Father suffered from Dementia and our Mother was very frail and tired of being his caregiver.
We were guided to Arbor Oaks by Care Patrol.
They had a nice room that was very clean. They received healthy meals 3 times a day as well as snacks. Their laundry was done every week. They were able to take part in so many activities like Bingo, Happy Hour etc.
They had excellent medical care from the PA on staff, and meds were delivered right to the facility.
Our Mother passed after 4 mos., and our Father needed memory care full time, he was moved to Evergreen. He just recently passed away.
We have been very happy with the care they both received.
Arbor Oaks has a wonderful and caring staff. Mary and Joy were always helpful to our family. Our parents enjoyed the Aids that cared for them and looked forward to seeing them daily.
Arbor Oaks was a very good experience for our family.

It’s been a few years since my mother was there. She passed away in December of 2020. We had her in 2 other facilities prior to this and it was awful. Every time something would happen at the other places they would send her to ER (because they didn’t have a nurse on staff). When we found Arbor Oaks we were so blessed. We thought she would be in memory care because the last center had her there, but after the assessment by the nurse( I can’t think of her name) she had her own room. I can’t tell you how much my mother changed for the better. The staff really cared about her. I believe my mom loved it there. She seemed to thrive. Anytime something was going on the nurse would call and ask me how they should handle it. Not just send her to the ER. When Covid hit we were able to visit by calling into a phone and sitting outside but seeing mom through the glass doors to the dining room. They were protective of the residents but stilll allowed us to visit in a safe way. During covid mom started getting worse and I’m sure it had to do with being restricted to her room. Because before that she was thriving there. She loved the activities and they would get her out of her room. When mom got sick before she died the nurse called with every change and with gown gloves and mask let us go in to sit with her. I’ll never forget the morning mom passed how wonderful they were. We even got a card of sympathy. They were awesome. I highly recommend arbor oaks. Unfortunately there will always be some bad apple in the staff but they will take care of it. I’m a RN and so is my brother so we know about good care, and our mother was well cared for. Our only regret was that we didn’t take her there first!! And that she endured 2 bad places. Thanks to everyone there. Mrs Futch

My mother has lived in this facility for approximately one month. Several items disappeared from her room while residing in assisted living but because she has dementia, we we assumed she placed them somewhere herself. We moved her last week into the memory care unit (Evergreen) and her wedding ring, engagement ring and anniversary band have gone missing within four days of living there. No one seems to know where they are and a police report has been filed by us, not them. There appears to be no communication between shifts and families are not notified when things happen to their loved ones. Very disappointing.

UPDATE: The missing rings were located by Lakeland PD and were found to be pawned by an Arbor Oaks employee at a nearby pawn shop. The executive director was notified and charges filed by us. Shame on the employee who took advantage of an elderly dementia resident! Disappointed that our mother wasn’t better protected from dishonest employees by the facility!

We have been in contact with the executive director (Mary). The facility has my contact information but have not heard back in regard to making this horrific event more tolerable.

My grandpa just recently died and my grandma died a few months back. It came to my attention that something went missing. My father just picked up everything from there this week. A year ago I gave my grandmother a white Christmas tree that has rainbow lights that light up. I looked through the box, it was missing. A few weeks ago I went to visit my grandfather and I didn’t see it in his room. Outrageous that they did not contact anyone if it was broken or lost. My grandfather said they turned off the phone so he couldn’t call anyone. They also said the food was horrible. I feel so bad they had to stay there for the rest of there life.

My mother-in-law resided at Arbor Oaks at Lakeland Hills. The facility was always clean and the administration was always available to answer any questions or concerns. I work in and around multiple ALFs and I always recommend Arbor Oaks to anyone that inquires about ALF placement.
