I had my first appointment with Dr. Toma this morning. She is great. She answered my questions. She was engaged. As I said - she is great; her staff is great.

I was recently diagnosed with "leukemia" while dealing with other health issues which all hit me in a short period of time. Without any consideration for my feeling, my need and my wants, without considering that I may have a skewed view of what this meant I was told that I needed various testing done. No time to assimilate what had just been diagnosed. During my initial interview, she kept asking the same question over and over again as if he had short term memory loss. Time to give up the practice. I didn't find her bedside manner very helpful. The patient should be well educated so that they are part of the decision making process for treatment. Religious, cultural, beliefs, socioeconomic, etc should all be taken into consideration when Doctors want to treat a patient. People, wake up, doctors are not GOD despite what they may think.

I have been Dr Toma’s patient for more than 2 years. She is straight forward & realistic. She is very good at explaining my situation, treatment options, and possible outcomes.

I wouldn't send an animal to this woman. She is absolutely ridiculous. Refused to treat my grandmother any longer and then refused to refer her to any other oncologists or point her in any direction whatsoever. For reference my grandmother has stage 4 breast cancer that has migrated to her bones. What kind of "Dr." can or would do something like that when a patient is on borrowed time anyways?!?

She has the absolute worst bedside manner I have ever seen. She is a very rude and egotistical person. I will not ever be returning to her office.
