I was referred to Dr Lesniewski for a hernia issue. He provided me a full evaluation and recommended options. Upon deciding to have the procedure, his staff efficiently schedule the operation and a follow up appointment. Everything went as he had described. He treated me as a professional and yet included some humor to ease the whole process. The entire experience went extremely well.

I can't say enough good things about this surgeon's skill and expertise. My office visits and the procedure were without any problems from start to finish. Recovery was easier than anticipated. In addition, he was wonderful in the way he communicated with my family who had accompanied me to the hospital. Highly recommend.

Dr. Jim was referred to me by an LPA from another practice with rave reviews. I had received a cancer diagnosis and required a complete removal of my thyroid. My consult was not rushed, my questions were answered and the entire staff worked to put me at ease. Surgery was scheduled as quickly as his schedule would allow, was on time and the care was excellent. I have referred family members and friends to this office with hesitation. Great personality and patience for all of the little questions.

I had a small lipoma removed surgically by Dr. Lesniewski At Surgical Specialists of Northern Virginia . After about 9 days, I had an infection in the area and it looked like the stitches have fallen apart . I panicked and called them. They have not told me to take a follow-up appointment, so I did not have one. When I called asking to see the doctor, they did not have any appointments for 2 weeks and their only response was, we will send a prescription for antibiotics ..our doctor is not available so if you want to see a doctor you can go to an emergency. I was distressed with their response. The team is very negligent and arrogant. Most doctors even do a follow up call to check on the patients. Here when I called them two days in a row , dealing with an open wound and infection all they could say was to go find another doctor if you want to see a doctor. My wound took more than 45 days to close.. A small 1 cm lipoma turned into a 3 cm X 1.5 cm scar. I went to see my PCP after I was refused an appointment with a doctor at their office. After 2 visits, My PCP sent me back to them as my wound was not healing. I went back there reluctantly .. During the appointment, I was told that they are a little short staffed because one Surgeon has retired. Had they told me this before I started going there, I would have found another Surgeon who has time for his patients.
This whole experience is distressing and traumatic. This office may be dealing with 100s of surgeries but for patients, it could be just their first one in their life. Even if it is a small surgery, all patients need quality care and a practice that listens to what the patient is dealing with. I regret having gone there without doing proper research.

While Dr. Lesniewski is a very good surgeon, I found him to be inappropriate. I innocently asked him, "How is your family?" The COVID Pandemic was rampant and I thought that this was an appropriate question and that it should be received as such. Dr. Lesniewki responded by telling me about his children and how they are good looking and attracting their peers. He explained in detail the body parts of his daughter that her male peers would be interested in. There was not a nurse in the examination room. I was having surgery in an area of my body that would require me to be examined in a sensitive area. He told me to, "Drop my pants," and then went on to comment on how skinny I was and that I was in great shape. I thought that maybe he was just a funny person and I tried not to think too much about the conversation. I had to return a month before surgery and he behaved the same exact way. After surgery I had to be reexamined. The doctor commented on the size of my body and told me not to be humble. Dr. Lesniewski said, "You should just admit it. You take really good care of yourself." Now, it is relieving to have a medical doctor say that you are taking care of your health. It is uncomfortable for a medical doctor to comment about the size and shape of your body along with the flattering body parts of his own children. Each time that I visited the doctor he was not accompanied by a nurse. I felt uncomfortable with Dr. Lesniewski's unprofessional language and behavior.

Dr. L is tops and very easy to communicate with. Great sense of humor and understanding of his patients needs. He personally follow ups on recovery and takes the time with each patient to take the mystery out of surgery.
