Trees for a Change is an awesome way to make people feel great and help the environment!!
My mom passed away in March from a battle with cancer. It was the saddest time in my life. I received many sympathy cards and flowers from my friends. The greatest gift I received was a grove of trees that were planted in her name in the Angeles National Forrest. My friend had five trees planted. One for my mom, dad, myself, and my two sisters. I cannot tell you the happy feeling I got when I opened the envelope. It continues to fill my heart with joy knowing the grove represents my family!!
Trees for a Change sends you the exact location of where the trees are planted along with maps of the area. I love the entire concept and I will do the same for my friends when they lose a loved one :-)”

My friends and I were looking for something we could do for a friend who lost his dad. We stumbled on Trees for a Change and and very happy we did. We got a grove of 10 trees. The prices were reasonable and the certificate arrived quickly. The frame was good quality. The planting information was up really fast, with pictures and maps to come after planting. Most of all, our friend and his family really appreciated the living memorial.

Trees for a Change is a fabulously successful gift - everyone loves them and feels touched by the thoughtfulness of such a gift. They make perfect condolence gifts, a beautiful card that honors the loved one without all those sappy sayings, just a tree to remember them by. I have been using Trees for a Change for Christmas gifts for the family members who ave everything they need or want but appreciate thoughtful ideas. We also use it for business gifts, which our business friends appreciate, and it also lets them know that we as a company care about our environment. The service and delivery of certificates is excellent!

We were quite disappointed with Trees for a Change in not being able to deliver what the web site has promoted (misleading marketing).

In the "How It Works" diagram, it indicates that trees are planted and the photos & maps are made available AFTER the customer ordered a Tree Gift. This gives a false impression that the photos & maps are of the specific trees that are planted according to the customer order. This message is reenforced in the Personalized Grove of Trees product description: "Online access to photos & information about where the trees were planted".

So the customers are not planting a tree or a grove of trees in honor of their loved ones, but are merely supporting the tree planting operation of Trees for a Change in honor of their loved ones.

All these about photos and maps have nothing to do with specific customer orders, and have been overly emphasized and are quite misleading. They should merely be described as "here is where we are planting trees right now" and "here is a map of the area" (period).
